The State of the State of Wellness

On July 28, 2010, in Uncategorized, by Michaela Conley

With the help of brilliant Teresa Lovely, our guest moderator, we’ve created a special webinar series: the State of WellnessFlags.  Each month through the end of the year we will focus on a different US state and how each state has taken different approaches to support and  promote worksite based health promotion programs.

Teresa kicked off the series in June when she presented: Worksite Wellness, Forming Powerful Partnerships.  Last week we focused on Wisconsin’s Worksite Wellness Program with Jon Morgan.

September through December will include:

  • 9/16: North Carolina State of Wellness with Meg VanStaveren, MPH,RD  – Register Free!
  • 10/21: Arkansas State of Wellness with Helen Weir, RN,BSN – Register Free!
  • 11/18: Massachusetts State of Wellness with Maria Bettencourt – Register Free!
  • 12/2: State of Wellness CDC Overview with Wendy Heaps, CHES – Register Free!

“HPCareer.Net’s “State of Wellness” series is a great opportunity to learn about the different  approaches taken by states to deliver worksite based health & wellness initiatives.  I encourage everyone involved in worksite health promotion to attend these free live webinars, ask questions and share insights”. - Jason Lang, MPH MS, Team Lead, Workplace Health Programs, NCCDPHP/CDC

All webinars are free of charge, recorded live and archived.  Be sure to register early.  We’re expecting to break attendance records before this series ends.  Save your spot early to ensure you get one.

  1. I’m really excited to hear from the remaining states and to see how we can support their efforts to collaborate.
