Worksite wellness programs have become an accepted means for employers to address poor health and related costs. Employers are ready to address employee health issues and are seeking answers on what works and how to do it. They are most interested in neutral expert sources for this assistance that state governments and similar organizations can provide. Reaching the thousands of businesses in a state is a challenge. However forming key partnerships with associations such as the state chamber of commerce provides communication channels, business credibility and other opportunities.

This session presents a successful case study of the Kentucky Worksite Wellness Initiative formed in 2006 as a partnership between the Kentucky Department for Public Health and the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
